Greek Life Councils
UTD is home to 14 national Greek-letter fraternities and sororities representing organizations from the Interfraternity Council (men's fraternities), Multicultural Greek Council (culturally-based fraternities and sororities), National Pan-Hellenic Council (historically African-American fraternities and sororities), and the College Panhellenic Council (women's sororities). Interfraternity Council
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of the four recognized fraternities on UTD's campus. IFC is a multifaceted organization which represents fraternity interests to the University; coordinates the membership recruitment activities for the member fraternities; collaborates with other councils and organizations to provide educational programming to its members; and carries out public relations efforts for the benefit of all member chapters.

United Greek Council
The United Greek Council was formed at The University of Texas at Dallas in Fall 2002 for fraternities and sororities who wished to participate in the Greek community but were not a member of the one of the other national councils. The United Greek Council promotes community service events, leadership development, and scholarship.

National Pan-Hellenic Council
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) was formed on May 10, 1930 on the campus of Howard University in Washington D.C. by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. The purpose and mission of the NPHC is "Unanimity of thought and action as far as possible in the conduct of Greek letter collegiate fraternities and sororities, and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations.” NPHC promotes interaction among member groups through a variety of forums and conferences, and promotes programming initiatives via numerous activities and events.

College Panhellenic Council
The member organizations of the National Panhellenic Conference are women's fraternities, each of which is autonomous as a social, Greek-letter society of college women, undergraduates and alumnae. National Panhellenic Conference is an organization established to foster interfraternity relationships, to assist collegiate chapters of the NPC member groups, and to cooperate with colleges and universities in maintaining the highest scholastic and social standards.
